Fondazione Amici della Fenice announces the creation of the VeneziaPianoFestival, born from the prestigious Premio Venezia.
This new initiative, in collaboration with Teatro La Fenice, is conceived as a monographic and original event dedicated to the classical piano, an important addition to the rich musical landscape of Venice. The VeneziaPianoFestival will be an annual festival, with each edition featuring a full week of concerts.

The first edition will take place from 21 to 26 March, 2026, unfolding across the city in three historic and artistical venues of strong identity: Sale Apollinee of Teatro La Fenice, Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista, and Scuola Grande di San Rocco. The series of concerts will have a common fil rouge: the music of Chopin.

The project aims to strengthen Venice’s role as a capital of Pianoforte, creating a virtuous cycle of collaboration among artists, cultural institutions, and supporters
